New Orleans Jazz Fest Poster artist Bill Hemmerling passed
away at age 66 on Monday, June 15th. A Louisiana folk
artist, Bill Hemmerling created the Official 2005 Jazz
& Heritage Festival Poster. Entitled The Birth
of Jazz, it depicted legendary musician Buddy Bolden
and his band. Famous Blue Dog artist George
